Traceability

Traceability is the process of creating visibility for, and reporting on, materials, products, and the surrounding information throughout the supply chain.

Cascale considers traceability as foundational for effective human rights and environmental due diligence, compliance with legislative policies, which drives meaningful progress on decent work and decarbonization. We build opportunities for companies to deepen supply chain visibility, collaboration, and impact measurement through the Higg Index and with guidance from the public affairs team. Supply chain traceability should demonstrate commitment, not merely compliance.

Transparency

Supplier transparency is the degree to which a supplier openly shares information regarding production sites, policies, certifications, and environmental or social risks.

Cascale’s Better Buying tools directly enable transparency by way of anonymous supplier ratings. When feedback is given and genuinely received, repeat suppliers see score improvements and greater resilience amid supply chain volatility.

Circularity

Circularity refers to an economy that maximizes the value of materials, minimizes resource use, and prevents waste throughout a product’s life cycle.

Cascale follows the definition established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), linking circular practices to SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and our Higg Index tools and initiatives advance circular practices. We also promote global policy frameworks that encourage circular design and sustainable production, helping the industry move beyond compliance toward measurable environmental and social impact.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Cascale is dedicated to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion and we strive to promote an environment that celebrates dignity for all. As an employer, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, actively creating a safe and supportive space where individuals from all backgrounds can celebrate their differences. We are proud to have built a team where diverse experiences and perspectives are not only welcomed but are also seen as essential to our success, co-creating an environment where everyone is encouraged and empowered to thrive.
