    Role Overview

    The Manager – Higg Facility Tools (FSLM) will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of updates, enhancements, and scaling activities related to the Higg Facility tools, with a strong focus on Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) and related verification processes. The role works cross-functionally with technical teams, verification services, members, and external partners to ensure high-quality delivery, stakeholder alignment, and global adoption in line with Cascale’s vision and strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Planning & Execution

    • Lead end-to-end project management for the update and development cycles of Higg Facility tools, including FSLM.
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans covering timelines, resourcing, dependencies, and risks.
    • Ensure delivery against agreed milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risks or delays.
    • Use project management tools and methodologies to track progress and ensure transparency.

    Stakeholder & Member Engagement

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on Higg Facility tools..
    • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize feedback from members, stakeholders, and internal teams in line with Cascale strategy.
    • Manage expectations and maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

    Technical & Subject-Matter Expertise

    • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the Higg Index suite, with emphasis on FSLM.
    • Act as one of the internal experts and representatives for Higg Facility tools (FSLM)
    • Collaborate with technical teams to implement platform, methodology, and tool enhancements.
    • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with technical developers.
    • Clearly communicate technical requirements and updates to diverse stakeholder groups.

    Qualifications & Experience

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in the apparel, footwear, home textiles and/or other consumer goods industries, including direct experience developing and implementing social programs at manufacturing facilities;
    • Demonstrated project management, leadership, and analytics skills;
    • Strong familiarity with Cascale and the Higg suite of tools, with a clear understanding of the difference in approach between Higg Index verification and standard audits;
    • Experience with multi-layered, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and a solution-oriented approach;
    • Experience and confidence in convening, facilitating, and leading conversations with diverse groups of stakeholders with a wide range of perspectives, and consensus building;
    • Experience working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds;
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
    • Capability to work independently while collaborating with staff.
    • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

    The Cascale offers a compensation package and salary bands are based on country location and aims to be competitive in each market. Actual compensation will also vary depending on factors including (but not limited to) relevant experience and performance.     POSITION DESCRIPTION 

    Cascale is seeking applications from a highly organized and technically adept Manager – Verification Evolution to lead the delivery of projects supporting Higg Index verification services. This role will report to the Director of Verification, Training & Insights at Cascale and is based in Bengaluru, India. The goal of the verification program is to ensure that the Higg Index and its related tools are trusted and credible measures for sustainability performance and benchmarking. This role drives execution of key evolution initiatives identified within the Higg Index roadmap, serves as a central cross-functional lead collaborating across Cascale teams and partner organizations, and brings a strong blend of industry expertise and program management rigour.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Verification Evolution Initiatives

    • Lead the design and execution of verification evolution projects aligned to the Higg Index roadmap
    • Drive day-to-day progress across workstreams, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met
    • Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements, resolve open questions, and translate concepts into implementable solutions

    Ecosystem Coordination (FEM & Verification)

    • Represent the verification function in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment with broader Cascale priorities
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal teams engaging with Verification Services
    • Partner with the reporting manager to align on priorities and translate them into actionable plans
    • Apply program management best practices to track progress, manage dependencies, and drive execution

    Program & Knowledge Management

    • Create and maintain core program assets (plans, trackers, documentation) to support effective execution
    • Ensure stakeholders have timely access to clear, accurate, and up-to-date information

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

    Travel Requirement: This position requires up to 5% travel, which may include domestic and international travel based on business needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

    Experience & Domain Expertise

    • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in multi-stakeholder environments
    • Experience with the Higg Index and/or verification or auditing processes (highly desirable)
    • Familiarity with the apparel, sustainability, or related industry landscape
    • Experience working with diverse stakeholders (e.g., brands, manufacturers, multi-stakeholder initiatives)

    Preferred Backgrounds (one or more)

    • Auditor or Higg FEM verifier

    COMPENSATION AND LOCATION

    Cascale offers competitive salary commensurate with experience. Salary bands are based on the country of location and aim to be competitive in each market. Actual compensation will also vary depending on factors including (but not limited to) relevant experience and performance. Salary is just one component of Cascales’s Total Rewards package for employees. The Cascale’s members and partners are global organizations, and as such, our staff sometimes work early or late hours.     Position Description

    The Senior Director, Manufacturing Member Activation is a critical role for the organization. A radical change of the industry will only happen if all actors through the global supply chain work in equitable partnership to accelerate the necessary transformation of the consumer goods industry. Through our membership, structure and core values, Cascale has a unique opportunity to deliver lasting meaningful impact at scale. In this context we recognise that this will only happen if Cascale manufacturer  members are represented, inspired, empowered, focused, and appropriately equipped and supported to take the Individual and Collective Action necessary. As a senior Cascale leader you need to ensure that Cascale holds the trust of its manufacturer members who pay for its services globally, delivering high levels of satisfaction and retention. Responsible for all aspects of Cascale Manufacturing Member Activation and impact, through leading world-class support services, engagement and community building, to drive business transformation in the global consumer goods industry

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Manufacturing Member Activation & Impact Strategy 

    • Manufacturing Member Activation Strategy
      • Lead development and implementation of an organization-wide manufacturing member activation strategy by being a champion for manufacturer members. Collaborate with other departments, to ensure Cascale manufacturer members  are actively engaged in and committed to Cascale-led activities as measured by membership retention, satisfaction scores, improved participation rates and relevant revenue targets to include:
        • Delivering and continually evolving clear manufacturer member focused value propositions, aligned with Cascale’s vision, to satisfy Cascale’s manufacturer member’s needs.
        • Delivering and continually evolving Cascale manufacturer member journey, optimizing both the manufacturer member experience and the impact of members’ engagement with Cascale in the achievement of organizational goals.
        • Support the member engagement and governance team in:
          • Developing, delivering and continually evolving the most effective and efficient governance and member involvement processes.
        • Build strong membership communities that are appropriately segmented and designed to satisfy manufacturer member needs.
        • Engage closely with relevant counterparts at Worldly to ensure alignment as much as possible and close collaboration on key relevant Manufacturing Member Activation activities.
        • Identifying and delivering against additional manufacturer member revenue streams including, but not limited to:
          • Event and meeting participation and sponsorship
          • Specific project funding
        • Ensure manufacturer member voices are elevated and embedded into sustainability forums, strategies, and forums.
    • Manufacturer Member Impact Strategy
      • Support development and implementation of an organization wide manufacturer member impact strategy, in line with Cascale’s vision, strategic plan and program frameworks and based on the use of the Higg Index tools, Cascale, and Cascale partner programs
        • Deliver significant continued increases in use of Cascale Higg Index Tools by Cascale Members and their Business Partners delivering – reductions in duplicative audits and assessments in the apparel & footwear industry, and beyond,  and an increase in meaningful, quality data.
        • Deliver significant continued increases in Cascale Members and their Business Partners, achieving identified levels of social, labor and environmental performance as measured through relevant Cascale Tools and Programs.
        • Drive participation in Better Buying tools (ex. BBPI, BBPPI) among manufacturer member base to elevate manufacturers’ voice, develop industry insights towards responsible purchasing practices
        • Deliver significant continued increases in Cascale Members and their Business Partners, engaging in Cascale partner collective actions programs.
        • Work with relevant Cascale Directors, to explore and implement innovative tools to effectively monitor and evaluate Cascale member performance improvements
        • Ensure impact and evaluation is embedded across the organization and data insights support the teams to inform decisions and drive improvements in service to our manufacturer members
      • Support the member engagement and governance team (Manager) in:
        • Developing, implementing and continually evolving manufacturer membership requirements / commitments that support and drive individual and collective manufacturer member progress and impact in line with the  Cascale strategic plan.

    Manufacturer Member Satisfaction

    • Implement effective strategies to ensure manufacturer membership satisfaction and retention rates are high by being a strong representative of their voice within Cascale and across the industry
    • Implement effective processes to capture meaningful and actionable manufacturer member satisfaction data
    • A specific focus on delivering manufacturer member satisfaction in key areas of engagement in core governance processes, equal partnership, and Cascale, and Cascale partners, collective action initiatives

    Sustainable Revenue 

    • Work with the VP, Manufacturer Community & Impact,, and Finance team to develop and maintain sound financial practices, including; budget management, cash flow, pricing strategies, cost control, revenue and expense planning.
    • Collaborate closely with the business development team to support in developing and implementing strategies to Identify, target and recruit key manufacturers in the apparel and footwear industry for membership opportunities.

    Cascale Leadership

    • Demonstrate accountability at all levels through consistent delivery against KPIs of the highest standard
    • Team leadership
      • With the VP, Manufacturer Community & Impact,, develop and oversee the implementation of manufacturing member activation & impact strategies ensuring relevant departmental policies, processes, procedures (e.g. SOPs, RACIs etc.) and appropriate structures, where necessary and agreed, are in place to ensure that the strategies are implemented efficiently, and effectively.
      • Provide inspirational leadership to the manufacturer activation team, implementing a commitment to continuous education and growth, supporting development and achievement of measurable results, while increasing overall competencies to support delivery of Cascale’s Vision and Strategic Plan.
      • Build a transparent environment that supports constructive criticism and continuous improvement
    • Cross-organisational
      • Align and cooperate with VP, Manufacturer Community & Impact, Executive Team, and fellow Cascale Directors, to contribute and demonstrate leadership in supporting the overall objectives of Cascale, including but not limited to Strategic Plan implementation, engaging in cross organizational strategic projects as identified and agreed with Cascale’s Executive Team.
      • Actively collaborate across departments to ensure we are moving collectively towards organizational goals within scheduled timelines, operationalising matrix ways of working, recognising and addressing the issues and opportunities in all areas.
      • Specifically oversee manufacturer membership team’s collaboration and coordination with key internal stakeholders, including Strategic Growth, Stakeholder Engagement, Collective Action, Public Affairs, Higg Index, Marketing and Communications, and Operations, to ensure clear strategic alignment

    Industry Leadership 

    • Passionately and professionally represent the interests of all Cascale members, notably Cascale manufacturer members, and also key diverse external partners and stakeholders, building strong relationships at the most senior level levels.
    • Become a face and voice publicly for what is needed to meet our industry vision, and be the primary champion for Cascale manufacturer membership, and Cascale’s manufacturer members’ impact through their engagement with Cascale, coordinating with Cascale’s Marketing and Communications Team to represent Cascale through public media, including events, interviews, blog posts
    • Maintain a leading working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the apparel and footwear industry value chain, related fields and adjacent industries as the organization scope and reach evolves.

    Qualifications & Experience

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

    • 5+ years of significant accomplishments in membership, and member engagement
    • 5+ years working at a senior (e.g. Director) level or above
    • 10+ years of experience and knowledge in manufacturing in the consumer goods industry, ideally in apparel and footwear
    • A relevant and applicable Postgraduate Qualification would be an advantage
    • Has developed and successfully implemented well-defined business strategies
    • Proven ability to develop high-impact, value driven membership programs
    • Knowledge of sustainability issues in the apparel, footwear and other industries, with ability to translate into well-articulated arguments, for responsible manufacturing.
