The Opportunity
Cascale is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to support The Industry We Want (TIWW), a multi-stakeholder initiative created in partnership with Fair Wear and ETI. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented coordinator to support TIWW core team in its programme management and administration. The ideal candidate should thrive working in a fast paced environment and be excited about the mission of TIWW and the founding organisations.
We are looking for a part time (16 – 20h per week) Project Coordinator who is an excellent communicator and skillful administrator. The ideal candidate will have outstanding time management skills, professional communication skills (verbal, written), project coordination skills, attention to detail and a passion for advancing social and environmental sustainability within the apparel and footwear industry. The person joining us must be comfortable with a team-first approach in a remote work environment and be able to work across the different organisations.
About The Industry We Want
The Industry We Want (TIWW) is a multi-stakeholder initiative, launched to drive industry-wide progress across the garment and footwear sector. TIWW advocates for the industry to realize its full potential and ensure safe and decent work environments for all, thriving businesses along the value chain and a positive impact on the planet.
In a multi stakeholder setting, TIWW creates a safe space in the industry for challenging yet constructive exchanges to address root causes and catalyzes system changes across the value chain.
It convenes traditionally siloed stakeholders and galvanizes actions across three interconnected challenges: responsible purchasing practices, living wages and GHG emissions and has developed a set of industry-wide metrics that measure progress on these three issues annually.
TIWW aims to represent those whose voices are too often silenced – helping us hold each other and ourselves accountable.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
You will play an essential part in driving forward the work of TIWW by helping to coordinate data collection for our three metrics, coordinating and supporting us in increasing our social media presence. Next to that, you will also support the organization and execution of the deep dive webinars and other industry events.
The role would reside within Cascale’s Stakeholder Engagement team with a sole focus on the work of TIWW. You will be reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Project Officer as well as other representatives from the lead organisations. The role will also include the following:
- Track timelines and deliverables
- Assist in data collection and analysis
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage alignment of work streams and working groups
- Support the narrative development and TIWW visual identity on our website and socials
- Support the delivery of the social media calendar and communication assets
- Support the coordination of events and public speaking engagements
- Support the development of narratives of TIWW deep dive webinars
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will be
- Mission-driven: Is motivated by sustainability and the mission of the organisations.
- Professional english proficiency, any second language is a plus
- Data analysis
- Social media (Instagram and LinkedIn) and basic design skills
- Ability to translate complex information into clear communication material for diverse audiences
- Advanced proficiency in using collaboration tools (miro, excel)
- Initiative-taking, organized, able to manage own priorities and communicate well
- Critical reasoning with clear ability to analyse and interpret complex information
- Knowledge of environmental, social and regulatory sustainability issues relevant to the textile, apparel and footwear sector
- Ability to work with remote teams
Reporting Structure, Timeline
This is a part-time remote role, with an expected availability of 16 – 20 hrs per week, directly reporting to the Manager – Stakeholder Engagement with a desired start date of 1 September, 2024.
Compensation, and Location
The Cascale offers a compensation package and salary bands are based on country location and aims to be competitive in each market. Actual compensation will also vary depending on factors including (but not limited to) relevant experience and performance. Salary is just one component of Cascale’s Total Rewards package for employees.
Cascale’s members and partners are global organisations, and as such, our staff sometimes work early or late hours. The preference for this role is to be based in The Netherlands. Please note that you will have to be eligible to live and work in the region specified.
