
Suren Fernando
Suren Fernando is the Chief Executive Officer of MAS Holdings, giving leadership to a group of companies with over 100,000 employees across 14 geographies around the world. Counting over 25 years with MAS, Suren was previously the Chief Transformation Officer of MAS Holdings, prior to which he was the CEO of MAS Intimates, the largest division of MAS Holdings, where he also served as the Chief Operating Officer.
Suren received his executive education at Wharton Business School, Harvard Business School, University of Pennsylvania, INSEAD Business School, Ashridge Business School, and the Henley School of Management, University of Waikato in New Zealand. Suren holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. In August 2023, Suren was appointed to the Board of John Keells Holdings, one of Sri Lanka’s largest diversified conglomerates, as an Independent Non-Executive Director.The MAS Plan for Change, the enterprise’s sustainability strategy, was introduced in 2020, and was rolled out across the group during Suren’s first years as CEO.
